Yasuj is a city in southwestern Iran and the capital of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad Province, as well as the center of Boyer Ahmad County, and is located in the northeast of this province. Yasuj is located along the Bashar River and the slopes of the Zagros Mountains and the Dena Peak at an altitude of 1,870 meters above sea level. The people of this city are Lor and speak the Lori language. Yasuj or Yasij means a place where jasmine flowers grow in abundance.
Yasuj Waterfall is the main tourist attraction of Yasuj. This waterfall is located 2 kilometers from the city center and north of Yasuj. This waterfall is 10 meters high.
Kakan Ski Resort is located on the slopes of Dena Peak, 18 kilometers from Yasuj, near the village of Kakan.
Bashar River Coastal Park
Mehrian Strait is a popular destination for ski enthusiasts. This strait is witnessing the formation of a large ice floe on a rock in front of Imamzadeh Hassan Shrine in the winter season. This ice floe breaks on the 60th day of winter and falls from the cliff on the 70th day (around March 10) with a sound that can be heard for miles. The water of the Mehrian River, part of which comes from the narrow springs known as Kabotari, flows into the Bashar River, Yasuj, and the Karun River in Khuzestan Province after passing through the route.
Goshe Shah Qasim is located at kilometer six of the Yasuj-Isfahan road, in the pleasant climate of Goshe, which is famous for the presence of Imamzadeh Shah Qasim, who is said to be a descendant of the fourth Shiite Imam, nicknamed Sajjad.
Sheikh Sarkeh (Sheikh Sadouq): A cold region with diverse vegetation including Bilhar, artichoke, mushroom, rhubarb and chuvil. Tang Tamradi Waterfall is located 26 km from the Yasuj-Babaamidan road after passing through the village of Dashtroom. The Battle of Tang Tamradi took place in this gorge.
