History of Chabahar Port
There is no precise information about the history of the urbanization of this port; but the evidence obtained shows that Chabahar has been important since ancient times. According to historical documents, in 1270 AH, Ibrahim Khan Behzadi Bami was appointed to the government of Bampour by the Qajar government. During his rule over Bampur, he was able to make Baluchistan a part of Iran.
In 1281 AH, Ibrahim Khan extended the Iranian border to the vicinity of Chabahar and Gwatar, but Chabahar remained under Arab control. Finally, in 1289, the central government of Iran intervened and the ruler of Bampur was able to capture Chabahar; since then, Chabahar has been a part of our country.
